RiNo Spring Open Studio Tour & UCD Iron Pour
Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13th from 11am - 4pm
After Party & RiNo Art District Fundraiser at Ironton Studios and Gallery from 4-6pm
In collaboration with Create Denver Week, see the art district “Where Art is Made!” Join us for our annual RiNo Spring Open Studio Tour on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13th. Visit over 65 studios, galleries and creative businesses in the RiNo Art District from 11-4pm. Several locations will host demonstrations, special programming and exhibitions. Stop by our information booth at Ironton Studios or click here to get a map to start your adventure!
The Sculpture Program at the University of Colorado Denver will also conduct an iron pour, a performance demonstration on molten metal sculpture casting at Ironton Studios during the tour. The public can create iron artwork on location at Ironton. Carve a sand tile that day and it will be cast in iron by students and faculty from UCD.
Also join us for a special After Party from 4-6pm at Ironton Studios, help us raise money for the new RiNo non-profit by purchasing a special artesian brew created by the Wynkoop Brewery.
Create Denver Week showcases Denver’s talented and dynamic creative community, recognizes the its role in making Denver vibrant and economically vital, catalyzes the sector to become a cohesive collective, and supports it by providing educational programming, inspirational dialogue and ideation.
DIRECTIONS:
Situated along the Platte River Bike Path, getting to and around RiNo is fun and easy. The arts district is located near Coors Field and LoDo. Cyclists can take exits on 31st Street and 38th Avenue to easily land in the heart of Rino. By car, the district is easily accessible via I-70 or I-25 off exits for Brighton Blvd. or Washington Street.

Patrons, collectors and families got to experience the students and faculty from UCD's HOT Sculpture Program cast iron into ceramic shell and bonded sand molds. It’s was an incredibly visual artists demonstration. Guests also could create their own personal cast tile on site.
Located just north of downtown, RiNo includes a remarkable concentration of creative businesses, including architects, art galleries, designers, furniture makers, illustrators, painters, media artists, photographers, sculptors and an array of studio spaces.
RiNo is bounded by I-70 to the North, I-25 to the West, Park Avenue West to the South, and Lawrence to the East. While retaining its industrial roots, the RiNo neighborhood is now fertile ground for arts and artists. The River North Art District is dedicated to promoting and supporting the people and businesses that reside in the area.
